Mangalore University to hold open house on June 29

Mangalore University will organise an “open house” event on its campus in Mangalagangothri on June 29 to introduce postgraduation programmes to students and their parents.

A press release from Mangalore University registrar said that the programme will be inaugurated by Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader.

With 25 PG departments offering 40 different PG programmes in Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, Management and Education, this 'come and explore' programme is being organised for the fourth consecutive year and aims to provide first-hand information to prospective students, their parents and guardians about the programmes on offer.

Students can visit the PG departments, interact with faculty, understand the scope and job prospects in each programme, the research that is being carried out and see the infrastructure, laboratories and computational facilities.

All central facilities such as library, computer centre, cyber labs, sports indoor stadium, world-class fitness centre, hostels for men and women, university canteen, student welfare office, employment exchange bureau and national-level advanced research centres will be open for students to visit and explore.

Application forms may be obtained from the respective PG departments during the Open House from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
