Kannada Vikas Shaikshanika Samajika Samskruthika Samste will organize open book examinations as an experiment to study the pros and cons of introducing such examinations in Karnataka.
The exams will be held at Nrupatunga Kannada School, Ramakrishnanagar on August 7.
It may be recalled that the Minister for Primary and Secondary education N Mahesh has been batting for open book examinations in schools.
The one hour open book examination will be held for Class V to Class X students. Kannada, English, Hindi, Science and Social Science.
"After the examination, we will prepare a detailed report and submit it for the government's consideration. The experiment aims to look into the pros and cons of holding open book exams," Samste secretary Sa Ra Sudarshan said.
