A notice has been issued to a school for violating Covid-19 norms and conducting classes at one place in Koppa, Mandya district.

The parents alleged that Venkateshwara Vidyaniketana at Moodaladoddi village, near Koppa, has not been following the Covid norms. The students from LKG, UKG and also from Standard 1 to 10 of the school are being seated at one place, at the community hall in Chikkadoddi village and classes conducted.

They alleged that the school authorities are playing with the lives of the children. Stern action should be taken against the authorities for violating the Covid norms, they demanded.

Deputy Director of Public Instruction R Raghunandan said, "I have made a spot visit along with the taluk-level officials and also gathered information. A notice has been issued to the school management seeking explanation. A report would be submitted after they reply."
