Former cricketer Syed Kirmani stressed on Monday that today’s parents should spend more time with their children and focus on boosting creativity among them.

Speaking after inaugurating ‘Darpana’, a programme organised to felicitate the winners of various sports events, at Mangalore University on Monday, he said that the advanced technology has made everyone captive.

If parents spend more time with modern gadgets, they will not give quality time to their children. Today, there is a need for parental intervention in making children culturally productive. But it is sadly missing these days, he lamented.
