Mysuru: Even though rains receded in Mysuru region, incidents of wall collapse, overflowing lakes damaging roads and fields have been reported. Two farmers died after coming in contact with a live electric wire, in Ayyanapura village, Chamarajanagar taluk on Thursday.
Walls of two houses collapsed, one each in T Narsipur and Nanjangud taluks, Mysuru district. Tobacco crop stored in a house was damaged in Bettadapura, Periyapatna taluk, with the ceiling of an Anganwadi falling, the parents did not send their children, at Belaganahalli in H D Kote taluk.
Walls of six mud houses collapsed in Kikkeri taluk, Mandya district. A connecting kutcha road to Irakanaghatta was washed away due to overflowing check dam, in Nagamangala taluk, Mandya district. Three houses collapsed in Keralapura, Arkalgud taluk, Hassan district.
