Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Wakf Zameer Ahmed said that the Rs 2 crore, which has been sanctioned to the Hazrath Syed Banath College, will be released immediately.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the kitchen at the Ullal Dargah on Friday, he said will pay Rs 10 lakh for the work on kitchen on his own. “I have been visiting the Dargah for the last 35 years along with my family. A large number of devotees visit the Dargah too. It is an initiative to supply food for the devotees. I will discuss it with Minister Khader on the facilities that can be provided for the kitchen of the Dargah from the government,” said Ahmed.
Dargah president Abdul Rasheed said that Wakf Board has asked the Dargah Committee to pay Rs 1.48 crore to the government. The previous ministers had waived the amount, which should be continued.
The minister was felicitated on the occasion.
