Senior Congress MLA from Belagavi District Satish Jarkiholi on Thursday met Karnataka incharge general secretary K C Venugopal here and requested him to accommodate more of his followers in the next Cabinet expansion in the JD(S)-Congress coalition government.

Satish, who along with his brother Municipal Administration Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, earlier threatened to raise banner of revolt against the coalition government, had closeted with Venugopal for more than hour.

Emerging out of the meeting, Satish said “I have requested more representation to Valmiki community leaders in the Cabinet as well as boards and corporations. Venugopal agreed to consider my demands,” he said. Satish also said he will not join and none of his followers will also revolt against Congress. He also dismissed as rumours that several Congress MLAs are planning to join BJP, he said.
