Shooting began for Kodava film ‘Nadapeda Asha’, on Tuesday.
The film is directed by Kottukattira Prakash Cariappa and is produced by Eramanda Harini Vijay Uttaiah and Eramanda Ponnamma Uttaiah.
Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy chairperson Dr Ammatanda Parvathi Appaiah clapped for the film, at Sri Bhardakali Temple in Kodamburu village, in Moornadu.
She also said that films contribute to the growth of Kodava language, literature and culture.
Director Kottukattira Prakash Cariappa said that he is planning to direct one Kodava film every year.
Kodava Sahitya Academy member Dr Mechira Subhash Nanaiah, writer Nagesh Kaluru, lead actors Bollajira B Ayyappa, Addanda Anitha Cariappa, Virajpet Kodava Samaja president and actor Vanchira Vittal Nanaiah and others were present.
