US-based University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), signed an agreement of co-operation with St Agnes College recently to facilitate study exchange programmes and research in the two institutions.

The agreement of co-operation offers many benefits to interested students who would like to pursue their studies in UTRGV, US. Application fees and transcript evaluation fees will be waved off. TOEFL or IELTS, which was a mandatory requirement in order to study abroad had been exempted. Earlier, students graduating with a three-year degree at St Agnes would get direct admission into the Master’s programme.

Students who have completed the first year Master’s programme can continue their second year Master’s degree programme at UTRGV campus with an F1 Visa and obtain a post-graduate degree from the University of Texas. These students can also avail fellowships, scholarships, and research/teaching assistantships for the second year on-campus studies.

Executive vice president (for research, graduate studies and new programme development), UTRGV, US, Dr Parwinder Grewal was also present.
