Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene district working president B C Dayakar has urged the state and the Union governments to take measures to desalinate water from sea based on Israel technology model and supply it to dams and lakes.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he demanded the officers to initiate measures to remove silt from reservoir, dams and lakes. Priority should be given to comprehensive irrigation projects, he demanded.
Dayakar urged both state and the Union governments to waive farm loan borrowed from banks.
He sought priority for the production of solar energy. Uninterrupted power should be supplied to rural areas for 18 hours in a day, he urged.
