Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat and Government of Karnataka -- Department of Science of Technology, in association with DIET, Koodige, will organise a two-day state-level workshop on the People’s Science Movement, at Corporation Bank self-employment training centre, Koodige, on March 30 and 31.
Papers will be presented by the leaders of the People’s Science Movement on the occasion, regarding the development of Science and Technology and the role of science associations in the elimination of superstitious beliefs and so on.
Madikeri MLA Appachu Ranjan M P will flag-off the People Science Movement campaign at 10.30 am on March 30.
Rajya Vijnana Parishat Central Committee honorary secretary C Krishnegowda will preside over the formal programme.
Veterinarian and District Rationalists’ Forum president Dr A C Ganapathy will inaugurate the programme.
Zilla Panchayat Agriculture and Industries Standing Committee president R Manjula will be the chief guest.
The valedictory programme will be held at 2.30 pm on March 31. People’s Science Movement leader E Basavaraj will preside.
Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat former vice president Challakere Yarriswamy will deliver the valedictory address. State Western Ghats Task Force Chairman Shantheyanda Ravi Kushalappa will be the chief guest.
