The state BJP on Monday accused Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy of targetting journalists and demanded that the government should immediately withdraw a case filed against the editor of the Kannada daily.
The Bengaluru police have filed a first information report against the editor for publishing alleged derogatory remarks against Nikhil, son of Kumaraswamy. “The coalition government is muzzling the media. Journalists who write against the government are being targetted,” BJP spokesperson Ravi Kumar said.
