Elected representatives initiate work on household drinking water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission, in Nakuru-Shirangala Gram Panchayat limits.

Mysore-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and Madikeri MLA Appachu Ranjan M P initiated the work on household drinking water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission, in the Gram Panchayats of Suntikoppa hobli.

As many as 122 houses in Nakuru-Shirangala, 255 houses in Kanbail-Baichanahalli and 53 houses in Muluru will be covered under the project.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Pratap Simha said that the Central government has formulated the project to provide drinking water supply to each household by 2024. As many as 59,000 households will be benefited in Kodagu.

Presiding over the programme, Madikeri MLA Appachu Ranjan M P said that the Central and the state governments have released grants of Rs 60 crore and Rs 40 crore respectively to Kodagu.

Pratap Simha also initiated the work on 633 drinking water connections in Andagove village and 388 connections in Kodagarahalli village.

ZP vice president Lokeshwari Gopal, ZP member Kumuda Dharmappa, Taluk Panchayat member Mani Dharma and Nakuru Shirangala Gram Panchayat president Ramesh Rai were present.
