A pedestrian was killed after an electricity pole fell on him, at Holekoppa in Kanuru village of Narasimharajapura taluk on Tuesday.
The deceased is Anand (22), son of Gopal Naik from Sampige village in Edapadavu near Mangaluru.
Anand was staying at his relatives’ house in Vatesara in Kanuru village and was working as an electrician.
When he was on his way to work at Holekoppa on Tuesday, an electricity pole fell on him, following gusty winds. Anand, who was seriously injured following the incident, breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
Anand is survived by his parents and six siblings.
A complaint has been registered at Narasimharajapura police station.
