Kochi: Actor Bala, who was arrested on Monday morning on the basis of a petition filed by his ex-wife, was granted bail by a court in Kochi.
Bala's ex-wife Amrutha Suresh filed a complaint against Bala accusing him of insulting her and their 12 year old daughter over social media.
The court granted bail on the condition that he should not make any insulting comments against his ex-wife and daughter.
Bala made the comments against Amrutha and their daughter as the latter refused to meet him. Their daughter had also made a social media post accusing Bala of assaulting her mother and even trying to assault her.
The police registered under various sections of IPC and Juvenile justice Act. Apart from Bala, his manager Rajesh and friend Ananthakrishnan were also arraigned in the case.
Bala has acted mostly in Malayalam and Tamil films and some Telugu films.
