The Pinarayi Vijayan government in Kerala has approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, reported news agency ANI.
Earlier in the day, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also knocked on the apex court's doors seeking a similar stay on the contentious law.
