Controversial Indian Revenue Service officer Sameer Wankhede - who is facing allegations and investigation fo seeking a bribe of Rs 25 crore vis-a-vis the Cordelia drugs-on-cruise bust case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, has received a death threat from a religious fanatic of Bangladesh.
Wankhede, an officer of the 2008 batch of IRS officers, is currently based in Chennai and posted as Additional Commissioner in the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS).
Wankhede had made a formal complaint to the Mumbai Police of Mumbai, which had launched the investigations.
In a letter to the Goregaon police station, Wankhede informed them that he has received a “death threat" via an Instagram private message from a Bangladeshi national named Shishir Showmic.
He also attached screenshots of the person’s Facebook and Instagram profiles.
“…The threat is a continuation of the spate of death threats received continuously which I have informed your police station as and when received…,” said Wankhede in the letter.
