A sea of devotees thronged the Golden Temple on April 14 in Amritsar to offer prayers on the occasion of Baisakhi. They took a holy dip in the ‘sarovar’ at the Golden Temple. Baisakhi, also known as the harvest festival of Punjab, marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year.
