After R-Day, TN to maintain high security across state for some more time

Even after theRepublicDaycelebrations on Thursday, the high security that has been in place in Tamil Nadu since the past week will continue for some more time, officials said.

The coastal security group (CSG) of the Tamil Nadu marine police has been undertaking intensified patrolling for the past fewdays. Since the past fewdays, the CSG has been tightening security both in coastal areas as well as on the sea. Sources in the coastal police told IANS that this would continue for a few moredays, given several intelligence inputs on smuggling of arms, drugs, and other substances through the sea.

The marine police team had also combed the uninhabited islands in the Gulf of Mannar, ahead of theRepublicDaycelebrations.

In the front portion of the tableau the image of Rishi Vashishtha, the family guru of Lord Ram is shown. Also shown are the lamps, which symbolise dispelling of the darkness of ignorance and spreading of the light of knowledge. Rishi Vashishtha is presented as the flagbearer of Indian culture and tradition of knowledge. In the middle of the tableau, the city of Ayodhya is decked up to celebrate the occasion of Deepotsava to welcome Lord Ram on his arrival.

The theme of the tableau of Union Territory is "Conservation of Tribal Culture and Heritage". The territory is constituted through merger of former neighboring UTs of Dadra, Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu

The tableau front showcases the Anchor from INS Khukri Ship, which was sunk during the Indo Pak war in 1971 near the coast of Diu in Arabian Sea. The Administration has developed a memorial hill to pay tribute to all martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the war, which also sends a message of the sacrificing bravery for the visitors.

'International Gita Mahotsav' is the theme of the tableau Haryana on Republic Day-2023

In its entirety the tableau shows the Lord Krishna serving as charioteer of Arjuna and giving him the knowledge of Geeta. The front portion of the tableau opens the dialogue where a larger than life statue of Lord Krishna in his ‘Virat Swaroop’, as he displayed before Arjuna has been shown.

Karnataka presents the achievements of three women achievers under the name 'Nari Shakti' (Women Power)

In the foreground of the tableau is Sulagitti Narasamma, rocking the cradle and playing with a child in her arms. She is an expert in performing deliveries in a traditional way in the absence of doctors. More than two thousand such deliveries have been performed by her. At the center of the tableau is Tulsi Gowda Halakki, nurturing the plants.

The tableau displays women empowerment and culture of Tamil Nadu from the Sangam era to the present.

The renowned and erudite poetess Avvaiyar, who wrote Aathichoodi and Kondraiventhan, is featured in the front of the tableau. She is admired for her exponential morality, as well as for her acclaimed poetry. On either side is the Queen of Sivaganga, Veeramangai Velu Naachiar, who waged war against the British and stood as an epitome of bravery.

On the back ground of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Maharashtra this year, presents the tableau on the theme "Sade Tin Shaktipeeth and Nari Shakti" under the theme Narishakti

In the front part of tableau, the Ghondali associated with the goddess can be seen playing the instrument Sambal. Sambal is considered to be an important music instrument related to Goddess. On the main body of the tableau, replicas of Three and a Half Shaktipeeths have been shown. At the center of the tableau there are folk art form Potraj and Aaradhi, which are associated with the Goddess. Folk art, a distinct identity of Maharashtra, is displayed on this occasion. Since the base of tableau is temple style, temple style has been depicted.

The West Bengal tableau highlights Durga Puja, the worship of the Mother Goddess which remains a veritable force for social cohesion and bonding across all segment of populace – transcending the boundaries of class, creed and religion

The tableau is fronted with the model of “Mangal Ghat” or “Mangal Kalash” with the green coconut atop representing the beginning of the worship of the Mother Goddess. The rear section depicts an image of “Thakur Dalan” built of the pillars and arches having unique Bengal Terracotta styled architectural design along with the traditional Bengali “Alpana” on the floor – the exclusive designer floor painting craft of Bengal.

Kerala presents the tableau of Naree Shakti and Folk Traditions of Women Empowerment that includes Kalarappayat, a martial art with more than 2000-year history, percussion and tribal traditions

The front of the tableau shows Karthyayani Amma, the winner of Nari Shakti Puraskar in 2020 who top scored the literacy examination at the age of 96. At front of the rear portion, Nanchiyamma, the first tribal woman to achieve the national film award in 2022 for best playback singing is seen saluting the nation. Behind this, Women are performing kalarappayat. The legendary woman Unni Archa who is known for expertise in kalarappayat in Kerala's folklore is portrayed at the top. Tribal dance from the Irula community is shown on the sides and Kudumbashree activities are showcased at the back portion of the tableau

The tableau of Jammu and Kashmir on Republic Day-2023 is showcasing "Naya Jammu & Kashmir" in the backdrop of pilgrim and recreational tourism potential of J&K.

The tableau of Arunachal Pradesh is based on the theme Ideas@75. Being inspired by the rising activity in Tourism sector, the tableau is titled "Prospects of Tourism in Arunachal Pradesh"

Jharkhand presents its tableau on Rebublic Day-2023 on the theme "Baba Baidynath Dham"

The tableau depicts the famous Baidyanath Temple located in Deoghar. The Shivling established here is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Lakhs of devotees come from all over the world to perform Jalabhishek in the month of Shravan. Air service has also started in Deoghar.

Gujarat presents its tableau on Republic Day-2023 on the theme "Clean-Green Energy Efficient Gujarat"

An amalgam of modernity and ethnicity, the tableau’s forefront shows a girl in Kutchi attire with a sphere of the sun and a wind turbine in both her hands, showcasing the world's largest hybrid (solar and wind) renewable energy park taking shape at Khavda in Kutch. Its famous Bhunga, white desert, and clay artistry are also on the display. The first solar park in Gujarat has been operational since 2011 at Charanka village of Patan district.

The theme of tableau of Tripura is "Sustainable Livelihood Through Tourism and Organic Farming in Tripura with Active Participation of Women"

In the tableau the beautiful Mahamuni Pagoda (Buddhist stupa) is depicted at the front. The middle part showcases various indigenous performing art forms of Tripura viz. - Hojagiri, Mamita etc, SHG (Self Help Group) women at work, women with baskets of pineapples, Cottage, tea plantation and workers with the side and base adorned with beautiful handicrafts and bamboo panels. The composite culture of Tripura and participation of women in different fields is depicted through women dressed in colourful traditional costumes walking in equal numbers on both side of the tableau.

The theme of the tableau presented by Uttarakhand on Republic Day-2023 is "Manskhand"

In the front portion of the tableau, reindeer, deer and various birds have been shown roaming in the world-famous Corbett National Park in the field of tourism. In the central portion of the tableau, the state animal of Uttarakhand State, ‘Musk Deer’ and national bird 'Peacock' and 'Ghoral' have been shown. Jageshwar Dham, a group of ancient 125 small and big temples in Manaskhand's Almora district is shown in rear portion part of the tableau. Deodar trees are shown at the end of the tableau. The famous "Aipan Art" of Uttarakhand has been displayed in the outer part of the tableau. Along with the tableau, the dance group of famous Choliya dance of Uttarakhand has been shown performing.

The theme of the tableau of Ladakh "Toursim & Composite Culture of Ladakh " is based on their culture. The diversity of culture and traditions is the hall mark of Ladakh

The theme of the tableau of Assam presented on Republic Day-2023 is "Assam : Land of Heroes and Spiritualism", comprises of two parts—Lachit Borphukan on boat and structural view of Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati, Assam.

Lachit Borphukan (1622-1672) is to Assam what Shivaji is to Maharastra and Maharana Pratap Singh to Rajasthanan incredible embodiment of indomitable courage and valor, sacrifice and patriotism, he was the greatest General in Assam’s history. Ahom King Chakradhwaj Singha chose Lachit Borphukan to lead the Ahom army against Mughals, who held Guwahati. In the battle of Saraighat under Lachit’s command, the Assamese army registered a decisive victory against the Mughals. The Kamakhya temple has been a witness to the history of Assam for hundreds of years wherein several attempts of enemy to conquer Assam are predominant. In the front of the tableau, Lachit Borphukan is dedicted on boat. In the rear portion, trailer the structure of Kamakhya temple also known as the “Temple of Bliss” located on Nilachal hills on the bank of the River Brahmaputra in Guwahati, Assam, one of the most important pilgrimage destinations for Tantric worshippers. The replica of Shiva Dol and Rong Ghar of Sibsagar district has been shown as the Royal construction of the mighty Ahoms.

The tableau of Andhra Pradesh is on the subject “Prabhala Teertham”–A Festival of Peasantry during Makara Sankranthi, an untold story of celebration of traditional festival of peasantry religiously followed in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema District

The people of Andhra Pradesh are rich in culture and heritage and the peasantry is bound with age old culture and traditions. “Prabhala Theertham”, a 450-year old tradition and the culture of peasantry is protected and religiously followed in Andhra Pradesh on main festival Sankranthi which celebrates after harvest season in big way. Prabhalu means the Utsava Vigahams of Lord Shiva and Parvathi which are decorated and placed in the middle of bamboo frames decorated with colourful clothes, colour papers, peacock feathers, Kathirkula, coconut tree leaves, Sugar cane and Banana trees and are taken in a procession during Sankranti festival.
