In a shocking incident, a man made a video of his wife while she was taking a bath and posted the same on his Facebook page to increase his followers.

A case was registered against the man, who worked at a circus in Delhi, on the complaint by the wife, a resident of Jasrana area in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district, about 325 kilometres from here, according to the police.

The wife said her complaint was that her husband often used to make video calls to her and that during one such call, he prepared a video of her while she was taking a bath. ''I had no idea that he was making a video,'' she told the cops.

The wife said that she was shocked to see her bathing pictures on her husband's Facebook page a little later. She said that she immediately called her hubby and asked him to delete the video but he refused to do so. ''My husband is addicted to social media but I had never imagined that he could do such a thing,'' she said.

The police, quoting the woman, said that she started getting calls from different places after the video was uploaded on the social networking site.

The woman approached the cops with a complaint after the husband refused to delete the video, the Kotwali police station in-charge of Jasrana Azad Pal Singh said on Friday.

Singh said that a case under the IT Act had been registered against the man and investigations were on.
