The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) will be coming to south India by setting up at their first campus at Inavolu village in Amaravati capital region. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the campus on Thursday.
Naidu said Andhra Pradesh would be developed as a knowledge hub. He said the institute is having campuses in Jamshedpur and Bhuvaneswar. The XLRI came forward to set up the campus here at a cost of Rs 235 crore on the 50 acres of land provided by the state government.
Already the Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM and Amruta institutes have set up campuses in Amaravati. The chief minister said that the central government has to set up 11 central educational institutions as per state bifurcation agreement.
