It's been only little over a week since the OnePlus 7 Pro went on sale in global markets including India. Now, the reports are coming that the flagship Android phone owners are complaining that there is a glitch in the display panel.

Several people are claiming that the OnePlus 7 Pro's screen is detecting touch (ghost or Phantom touch) even though the user is not operating it. This issue is being noticed only in select apps such as Reddit, CPU-Z, and Chrome, among others. So far, Several complaints have been documented in OnePlus official forum.

As per the bug report filed by Abdulbasithmh, staff member, OnePlus Bug Hunter team, the company seems to be aware of the issue and are working on it. If history is any indication, OnePlus is expected to roll-out the bug-fix for the phantom touch in a few days or a week.

Is there a quick fix for OnePlus 7 Pro's phantom touch issue?
Yes! there is one. Users just have to turn off NFC toggle from Quick Setting/Notification Bar.

In a related development, OnePlus has rolled out an incremental OxygenOS 9.5.4 update to the OnePlus 7 Pro. It brings bug-fix for audio-delay with Bluetooth earphones, optimised double tap to wake and ambient display.

It majorly brings camera improvements including quality of HDR, low-light, fix white balance issue and fixed focus in several scenarios.

Here's how to install OxygenOS 9.5.4 update on OnePlus 7 Pro:

Step 1: Once you get the Android Pie notification on the device screen- tap Yes and initiate the download process

Step 2: Once the download process is done, tap yes to install the update

Step 3: After the installation, the phone automatically reboots and it is now fully upgraded to the latest OxygenOS 9.5.4

Since the software roll-out is carried out in phases, it will take a few days to reach all corners of the world. OnePlus 3/3T owners can manually look for the new update by going to the Settings >> About Phone >> Software update>> tap check for new updates. If you get one, follow the aforementioned procedure.
