Watch out for these smartphones coming in June 2019

In May, we witnessed a lot of new phone launches including Google Pixel 3a ( & 3a XL), OnePlus 7 Pro, Honor 20, Asus Zenfone 6, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom, Redmi Note 7S, and Redmi K20 series, among others. In June, several big firms such as Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi and others are planning to bring new flagship mobiles.

DH lists some of the highly anticipated smartphones tipped to debut in India:

Nokia 9 PureView: HMD Global has sent press invites for an event scheduled on June 6 in New Delhi. though there is no mention of the device, speculations are rife that Nokia 9 might finally hit stores in India in June.

Nokia 9 was originally unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019, Barcelona. The highlight of the device is the photography hardware. It boasts five ZEISS 12MP cameras-- three Monochrome and two RGB colour sensors-- with F1.82 aperture assisted by an LED flash and laser autofocus.

It also comes with advanced photography software that makes resultant images are of HDR (High Dynamic Range) quality. The company proclaims that the five cameras simultaneously capture the image and fuse it together into one 12MP photo with outstanding dynamic range and depth of field.

The company has joined hands with Adobe Lightroom team to develop a feature, where it enables Nokia 9 PureView capture images in uncompressed raw DNG (Digital Negative) format. Guess what? The device owners can edit them directly on the phone, which will definitely impress photography aficionados.

IP67 water-and-dust resistance certification, meaning it can survive underwater for up to 1 meter (around 3.2 feet) for close to 30 minutes

Price: $699 (global price) and in India, it is likely to cost under Rs 50,000

OnePlus 7: After the Pro variant, the company is all geared up to bring the generic OnePlus 7 in India on June 4.

It sports 6.41-inch Full HD+(2340×1080p) Optic AMOLED display with sRGB color gamut, DCI-P3 color gamut 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 19.5:9 aspect ratio
OnePlus 7 boasts dual 48MP+5MP camera on the back, whereas the OnePlus 7 Pro features triple- 48MP+8MP Telephoto + Ultra-wide 16MP--camera. On the front, both the models houses a 16MP pop-up camera.

Other stipulated features include Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and a 3,700mAh battery with Warp fast charging. It will ine two variants-- 6GB RAM+128GB storage & 8GB RAM+256GB storage--for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively. Consumers will have two options-- mirror gray and red.

Samsung Galaxy M40: After the Galaxy M30, M20 and M10, Samsung is all set to bring the fourth product of the M series-- Galaxy M40 in India on June 11.

As per the latest teasers, the Galaxy M40 is confirmed to come with punch-hole screen dubbed as Infinity-O display similar to flagship Galaxy S10 series, wherein the front-camera will be placed to top left corner and the rest of the space is occupied by the fully functional display.

Inside, the Galaxy M40 is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor, triple primary camera and a 5,000mAh battery, which is more than enough to keep the phone running for close to two under mixed usage.

As far as the pricing is concerned, it is expected to cost anywhere between Rs 17,000 and Rs 22,000.

Poco F2: Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi K20 series, earlier in the month, in China. Rumours are rife that the company might bring the device in India soon but with a different moniker. The generic model will be called as the Poco F2 and the top-end will be retailed as F2 Pro.

They are likely to have same exterior design and also internal hardware as the Redmi K20 series.

Poco F2 and F20 Pro are expected to flaunt a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. And, will be protected by Gorilla Glass 5 shield and 3D glass cover. On the back, it would come with a glossy premium shell with gradient finish.

In terms of photography hardware, Poco F2 series is expected to house triple camera, a 48MP (with Sony IMx586 sensor, F1.85 aperture), 13MP ultra wide angle lens and 8MP telephoto lens on the back. And, a 20MP pop-up selfie camera.

Inside, they are expected to come with Android Pie-based MIUI 10, 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB storage and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging capability.

But, Poco F2 and Pro will differ in terms of processor. The generic model will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, whereas the top-end variant will house a Snapdragon 855 chipset. The price for Poco F2 is likely to be anywhere between Rs 16,000 and Rs 20,000. On the other hand, Poco F2 Pro is expected to be in the range of Rs 22,000 to Rs 29,999 depending on the RAM+Storage configuration.

Oppo Reno series

It can be noted that Oppo Reno and Reno 10X Zoom, which got unveiled earlier in the week, will be available for purchase on June 7 onward.

It flaunts unique shark-fin inspired rising camera with 16MP sensor to capture selfies. On the back, it comes with a 48MP primary sensor, 13MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor.

Inside, it comes with 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging, Dolby Atmos, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with tri-cooling control to dissipate overheating, Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 (with Hyper Boost 2.0-Frame Boost and Touch Boost for gaming).

On the other hand, the standard Reno comes with Android Pie-based ColorOS 6, a 3,765 battery with VOOC charging, 48MP+5MP dual camera on the back, 16MP front camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom comes in two variants--6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage--for Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990, respectively. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno (8GB RAM + 128GB storage) costs Rs 32,990. All the new phones will be available exlusively on Flipkart from June 7 onwards.
