Bogota: Colombia's Foreign Minister Luis Murillo on Tuesday called for Venezuela's government to release the results of Sunday's presidential election so that they can be audited by the international community.
"For peace in Venezuela, it's necessary to see all the certificates of the final results and for them to be audited by the world," Murillo said in a video posted on X.
Venezuela's national electoral authority has named President Nicolas Maduro as victor of the election, sparking allegations of fraud, with opposition politicians and independent pollsters deriding the reported win as implausible.
