London: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Thursday that the first flight carrying asylum seekers to Rwanda under his flagship policy is set to take off after the July 4 general election.

Speaking to LBC Radio a day after he set the date for the vote, he stressed that the flight would still take off in July and that the preparation work had already begun.
