Group of Seven leaders made no direct reference to abortion in their final communique on Friday, according to a draft seen by Reuters, with Italy refusing to bow to French pressure to include the word.
The issue led to a spat between the leaders of the two countries, with Italian PM Giorgia Meloni accusing French President Macron of trying to score points ahead of elections in France.

Resolved to build a developed India by 2047, PM Modi at G7 meet
Talking about India's approach in the field of energy, PM Modi listed four principles, namely - availability, accessibility, affordability and acceptability.
"We are making every possible effort to fulfill our commitment to achieve target of Net Zero by 2070. It is our resolve to build a developed India by 2047; our commitment is that no section of society should be left behind," he said.
Proud to have made African Union permanent member of G20: Modi
Talking about India's presidency of G20 last year, the Prime Minister said that he is proud that the African Union was made a permanent member of the grouping.
He also emphasized the development of the Global South and said that India considers it its responsibility to put priorities and concerns of countries of the Global South on world stage.
"India contributing to economic and social development, stability and security of all countries of Africa, and will continue to do so," he added.
