One of the major highlights of the recently concluded US presidential elections was the coming together of two billionaires - Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Trump's campaign leading upto the November 5 elections was spearheaded by Musk, with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO actively advocating for the Republican candidate in ways more than one.
Musk was one of the first to react after Trump's triumph over Democratic rival Kamala Harris which will see him become the 47th President of the United States.
"It is morning in America again," he said in a post on X.
However, not all members of the Musk family are as elated as him with Trump's return to the Oval Office.
Vivian Wilson, the estranged trans daughter of Elon Musk has expressed her displeasure on social media platform Threads after Trump's victory, and has revealed that she intends to leave the country altogether as she is unable to see a future for herself in the United States.
She expressed disappointment regarding anti-trans regulations being passed in the US and emphasized that even if these are curbed, the people who "willingly voted" for Trump "are not going anywhere anytime soon."
"I've thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don't see my future being in the United States. Even if he's only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don't happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon," she posted in Threads.
Soon after Vivian's declaration, Musk shared his opinion on the same. "The woke mind virus killed my son," he commented on X.
Responding to her father's remark, Vivian put out another post on Threads. "So, you're still going with the sob-story about how "woe is me, my child was infected by something-or-other and that's totally the only reason why they hate me. Just don't... please don't look into it, god forbid I'm anything but the victim in every scenario imaginable". Did anyone ever actually believe this? It's just tired, it's overdone, it's cliché. I'm just bored honestly, like is this really the best you could come up with?" she wrote.
She continued her jibe at Musk in a seperate post on Threads and referred to him as a "control freak", shedding more light on the strained father-daughter relationship.
"If I'm correct, the reason why this particular post is the one that got to you is that you're mad that you finally don't have power over someone. You're upset because at the end of the day everyone around you knows you as a delusional and grubby little control freak who hasn't matured as a person for 38 years. However, last time I checked that's not my f****** problem," she posted.
Musk and his first wife Justine Wilson have six children together - one amongst them is Vivian. In 2022, she asked for gender-affirming care and legally changed her name. Musk has time and again referred to her as "dead" and also blamed her decision on the "woke mind virus" on several occasions.
