<p>Bengaluru: India’s top carmaker by sales - Maruti Suzuki - on Tuesday announced a pan-India launch of its compact-format NEXA service workshops across non-urban centres in the country.</p><p>The first six centres were inaugurated in Ateli (Haryana), Charkhi Dadri (Haryana), Bankura (West Bengal), Dahod (Gujarat), Nirmal (Telangana) and Ooty (Tamil Nadu). These workshops are equipped with a dedicated front office, customer lounge, service bay, and parking bay, the company said.</p>.Maruti Suzuki's total vehicle sales rise 5% at 1,99,364 units in January.<p>“With the growing similarities in consumer preferences in urban and non-urban centers, there is a notable increase in interest for our NEXA offerings from both regions,” Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said.</p><p>“Out of the total sales which are happening, almost 30-32 per cent of the customers are coming from the non-urban markets,” Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Service, MSIL, underscored.</p><p>The automaker has set for itself a target of 100 such workshops by the end of financial year 2024-25.</p><p>NEXA Service, which was first introduced in 2017, has since expanded to over 390 service touchpoints, the company said in a statement.</p>
