In 9 out of the past 13 calendar years (2012-2023), the domestic MCX gold prices have beaten the corresponding inflation rates for those years. In the last 10 years – April 2014 to April 2024 – the rupee has depreciated against the dollar by 38.64%. Since investors do not have to handle physical gold, there are no concerns about safe storage. Also, one can invest in small amounts.
