Maharashtra Assembly Polls 2024: Key takeaways as Maha Yuti all set for comeback

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led ruling Maha Yuti is all set to return to power in Maharashtra after going past the majority mark against the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi in the race to the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

With counting still on, the Mahayuti alliance is currently leading on 226 seats. At the time of writing this report, the saffron party is leading in 126 seats while the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena is leading in 56 and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP in over 39 seats.

Shinde, Fadnavis, Ajit ahead

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is leading in Kopri-Pachpakhadi while Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has won the Nagpur South West.
