J&K Govt begins rearing process of cocoons to increase silk production

As sericulture plays a significant role in generating employment for the locals in the valley, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir is taking immense steps on the rearing process of cocoons to boost silk production.

To develop healthy silk production, experts in the Mirgund seed station are taking constant care to increase the production of mulberry fruit crops.

The Sericulture department is laying stress on providing good quality leaves and maintaining the required temperature and changing nets for good results.
