<p class="bodytext">Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said his government would introduce five-day week for government employees if the Cabinet gave its approval to the proposal.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“I know there is a proposal in this regard. I have no objection in implementing it if the Cabinet approves it. The proposal will be discussed in the Cabinet soon,” he told DH.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge had recently written to the chief minister, urging him to introduce five-day week for the employees. He said that the government should cut down on government holidays and introduce five-day week.</p>
