<p class="bodytext">Top BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and Ananth Kumar asserted on Monday that the biennial Aero India show would not be shifted out of Bengaluru.</p>.<p class="bodytext">BJP state president Yeddyurappa told reporters in Gadag that union ministers and MPs from the state would prevail upon the Centre not to shift the biennial Aero India show out of Bengaluru.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said the Uttar Pradesh government had only appealed to the union government to organise the Aero India show to Lucknow. But no final decision had been taken on the matter.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The former chief minister said Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara and Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar were only creating confusions among the people on the issue.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar told reporters in Chamarajanagar that the air show would be held in Bengaluru and the news that it would be shifted to Lucknow was only a rumour.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said “The MPs and union ministers from Karnataka will not allow the shifting of the air show from Bengaluru at any cost.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Defence Ministry has made it clear that the news of shifting the air show is just a rumour. Even the officials in Lucknow have said that they have no basic facilities to organise the air show and it is not possible to organise it in Lucknow, he said.</p>
