<p>School buses packed with children to an almost suffocating level is an everyday sight on Bengaluru city roads.</p>.<p>After several complaints against such vans and buses that are crammed beyond their capacity, the traffic police on Monday carried out a special drive against them.</p>.<p>The drive in east and west divisions saw 4,446 cases booked against such erring drivers.</p>.<p>The check, which began at 6 am went on till 9 am. 3,264 cases were booked in the east traffic division and 1,182 cases in the west division, said the traffic police.</p>.<p>School vans packed with children beyond their capacity, without any safety measures and with no insurance documents were also booked. They were slapped with fines and a warning to not repeat the offence.</p>
