<p class="title">Even as the Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’ is all set to hit the screens across the globe on January 10, the much talked Kannada version of the movie appears to be a distant dream. Producers are yet to take a call on this.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“There were lot of speculations about release of Kannada version of Petta on January 10. But still nothing has finalised. The Kannada version is still not ready too. On Thursday the movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. We have to work on the dubbing part, which takes its own time - not less than three weeks,” Jack Manju, Petta’s Karnataka distributor told <span class="italic">DH</span>.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Petta will be released in more than 300 screens including multiplexes in Karnataka.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Asked about the response if Petta were to hit the screens in Kannada, Manju said that that it would be a blockbuster. “Now that there is no legal hurdle, we hope to dub this film into Kannada too. But we need Rajini sir’s permission.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Manju said that there won’t be a better choice than Rajinikanth to lend voice for Kannada version. “Imagine Rajini sir talking Kannada on silver screen after decades. This would be another reason for the celebration of fans in Karnataka.”</p>
