<p>3Wayste, a French company, began a waste management feasibility study in Bengaluru on Wednesday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">It will focus on the ways to deploy its waste management technology to the local conditions of the city.</p>.<p class="bodytext">3Wayste had signed a memorandum of understanding with the BBMP to set up a waste-to-energy plant in Chikkanagamangala.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The city is expected to generate about 3,500-4,000 tonnes of waste every day and has the capacity to process about 2,600 tonnes every day.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The plant is expected to process 500 tonnes of garbage every day and the energy generated here will be sold to the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The study is expected to conclude by the year-end.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Alexandre Ziegler, the French ambassador to India, met Mayor R Sampath Raj, Sarfaraz Khan, joint commissioner, health and solid waste management, and Mahendra Jain, additional chief secretary of the urban development department, on Wednesday.</p>
