<p>Harshvardhan Kapoor was in Bengaluru recently for the launch of Longines at its UB city showroom. <span class="italic">Metrolife caught up with the budding actor to talk about his taste in movies and what’s in store for a fan base that’s slowly starting to build up.</span></p>.<p>Dressed in a quirky mix of things that his followers will have no trouble identifying as characteristic, one can see why a high-end watch brand would want him to endorse their product — the juxtaposition of styles, whether one takes to it or not, catches the eye.</p>.<p>But he placates fashion-hungry journalists that he feels at home in his tracks. Even when he spoke about the watch, he said he liked it because it was simple and something you could wear every day.</p>.<p>When <span class="italic">Metrolife</span> asked him if he is being selective when it comes to his films, he said he has been on the lookout for films that were trying to be innovative.</p>.<p>“Mirzya wasn’t your average film, neither was Bhavesh Joshi Superhero,” he said.</p>.<p>But does that mean the box office failures of his films have not mattered to him?</p>.<p>“I have tried to do films that are interesting to me. Both Mirzya and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero were unique films. And good films do get recognised eventually. After Bhavesh Joshi dropped on Netflix, people have got back to me saying it was a great film,” he said.</p>.<p>Not many have realised that Harshvardhan has been slotted to play Olympian shooter Abhinav Bindra in the biopic slated for next year. Bindra has just won the International Shooting Sport Federation’s Blue Cross, which is the highest honour for a shooter in the world, becoming the very first Indian to bring home the glory.</p>.<p>While this is just another feather in the cap for the champion, this must mean the stakes have risen even higher for the young actor.</p>.<blockquote><p>But many believe that although he has received a fair share of shots to make a mark, he hasn’t utilised it properly.</p></blockquote>.<p>His father had proved at his age that he has something to offer his audiences, but many believe that young Harsh is yet to find his voice. While some aspects of Bhavesh Joshi had piqued critics’ attention, Harsh’s acting was not one of them.</p>.<p>But then why does he not do what actors do to become do better — act more?</p>.<p>“I am about to. There’s, of course, the Abhinav Bindra biopic that’s coming out in 2019. I have also signed up for four more films, but I can’t talk more about them to you, as nothing has been finalised and I don’t know when they will come out.”</p>
