<p>A student from Bengaluru has secured an all-India rank (AIR) of 55 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2018, the result of which was announced on Monday evening.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Adway Girish, a student from FIITJEE, is among the toppers from the state who has secured the 55th rank. He scored 325 out of 360 marks. He has also scored 95% in the II PU exams.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Thuhin Girinath, son of senior IAS officer Tushar Girinath, has also made it to the top list of students from Karnataka.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to DH, Tushar Girinath said his son is a CBSE student and hopes to study in IIT.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"He has cleared exams for IISc as well. However, he is keen on studying in one of the IITs," he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Thuhin has written his class 12 exams.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The JEE Advanced exams are scheduled on May 20.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"The school and the teachers were very supportive and the student-to-teacher ratio was low. This made it possible for the teachers to give personal attention to students,” Thuhin said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He is hopeful of performing well in the JEE Advanced as well.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Prabash Reddy, a native of Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh, has secured an AIR of 124. A student of Narayana PU College, Sahakar Nagar, he believes that tests helped him score high marks.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Reddy aspires to be an IAS officer.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Neel Balar, a student of Deeksha Centre For Learning, who secured 259th rank said: “I could have scored better. I am confident to crack the JEE Advanced.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Yogesh Madhav Reddy, a student of Narayana Integrated PU College, has bagged a 1050 AIR.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“I made my own notes for Physics and Chemistry. Math had a lot of conceptual problems. I would study for nine hours at school and two hours at home every day."</p>.<p class="bodytext">Watching movies was his way to relax. He has a CGPA of 10.0 in class 10 board exams.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Bhargav, another student of Narayana PU Integrated College, and a resident of Sahakar Nagar has secured 509th rank.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“I didn't have to study for many hours as the college is an integrated college," he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He followed the schedules and timetables of the college and he studied close 10 hours every day.</p>
