<p>A fancy dress competition, organised by the Sri Rajarajeshwara Sahasrarjuna Maharaja Jayanthi Samithi on Sunday, witnessed children taking elders on an epic journey.</p>.<p>Dressed as historical and religious characters, children spoke words of wisdom and sang songs of devotion, much to the admiration of the crowd.</p>.<p>Speaking at the event, Akhila Bharatiya Somavamshiya Sahasrarjuna Kshatriya Samaja president Srinivas H Khoday said a prize of Rs 1 lakh was given to five men and women candidates who scored well in the KAS and IPS exams. “We are also helping those preparing for competitive exams,” he said, adding that members of the Kshatriya community should stand together.</p>.<p>S N Srinivasamurthy of Dhondusa Group said parents should focus on children’s education. “Everyone should strive for the welfare of the society,” he said.</p>.<p>Several achievers and elders from the community were honoured. As part of the celebrations, a rally was taken out, which saw participation from cultural teams and students alike. </p>
