Following an assurance by various ministers and department officials who visited the spot, the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) agree to withdraw the protest. </p>.<p>Some of the demands are that the jobs of anganwadi and mid-day meal workers should be regularised, a fixed pay scale should be released, and the state government must pay mid-day meal workers during Dasara and summer vacations, among others. </p>
