<p>Six students who went missing from Kamakshipalya were traced to Maralagondalu, eight km from Magadi town on the western outskirts of Bengaluru, on Tuesday, police said. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Chandan (15), Rakesh (14), Sujan Shetty (14), Anoop (14), Varun (14) and Renu (14) — all class 9 students — attended school on Monday and returned home in the evening. But they had other plans. They left home after telling their parents they would attend tuition classes. There was no trace of them thereafter. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The parents got worried when the boys didn’t return home. They also learnt that the children hadn’t attended any tuition class. Fearing the worst, the parents approached the Kamakshipalya police and lodged missing complaints. Police formed a special team and began looking out for the children. The mystery didn’t remain unsolved for long. Here’s what happened once the boys left their homes. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Chandan had Rs 250 and planned a jolly trip to a temple near the house of Rakesh’s grandmother in Maralagondalu. He paid Rs 180 for the bus tickets. But the boys didn’t have enough money to buy dinner. They ate mangoes and puffed rice, and went to visit Rakesh’s grandmother. </p>.<p class="bodytext">On Tuesday, the elderly woman informed Rakesh’s parents who, in turn, informed the police. A police team rushed to Maralagondalu and brought the boys back. Police counselled them before reuniting them with their parents. </p>
