<p class="title">A 25-year-old woman, after poisoning her two children, consumed poison-laced food at her house in Jayanthinagar near Horamavu on Friday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">While Meena and her daughter Suguna died, her son, 6-year-old Charan, is battling for life at a private hospital. The doctors are yet to rule him out of danger, the police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the police, Meena married Kumareshan 11 years ago. Initially, they were residents of KR Puram. They shifted to Jayanthi Nagar recently.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police suspect the incident happened between 10 am and 1 pm on Friday, when Meena, after poisoning her children, consumed the poison-laced food. Police did not find a death note.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumareshan had gone for work and the incident came to light when he returned for lunch. He saw Meena lying motionless, while the children were having convulsions, frothing from their mouths. He alerted the neighbours, who helped him rush the three to a hospital. Meena and Suguna were declared brought dead.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Charan was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Preliminary inquiries revealed they were a happy couple. Neither the husband nor Meena’s parents have come up with an allegation over the deaths.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“When all of them return from the funerals in Thirupathur, Tamil Nadu, we might get some leads,” said a senior police officer. The Ramamurthy Nagar police have taken up a case of two murders and suicide and are investigating further.</p>
