<p class="rtejustify">To curb the illegal display menace in city, the BBMP will soon launch the ‘Hoarding Reporting’ app.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The development comes a week after the High Court of Karnataka ordered the civic body to remove all unauthorised flexes and banners that ruin the aesthetic beauty of the city. </p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">“The app is a way of mapping all the hoardings in the city so that we will know the number of buildings that have hoardings through GIS-mapping,” said BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">“As of now, all BBMP officials associated with the removal of unauthorised hoardings are using this app. We will make it open to the public as well so that they can inform us if there are violations,” he said. </p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">People can use the app on phones and register with a login ID. They can upload the status of each hoarding in the city.
