Registration mandatory for child care centres

The directive was issued by the Bengaluru Urban deputy commissioner, who is also the chairperson of the district child protection unit.

Bengaluru: All private organisations running child care centres must register under Section 41 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, before April 20. 

The directive was issued on Tuesday by the Bengaluru Urban deputy commissioner, who is also the chairperson of the district child protection unit. 

The directive also applies to all registered and unregistered, old and new institutions, including mutts, madrasas and churches.
