<p>Roadside parking in Bengaluru is set to get costlier in the coming days as the Urban Development Department has finally approved the Parking Policy 2.0 prepared by the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT).</p>.<p>The policy drafted over two years ago has undergone many changes before getting approval from the Department. The latest version of the policy, therefore, speaks of providing permits for on-street parking in residential areas. It also lays out a road map for strict implementation of the rules.</p>.<p>Officials said the policy is aimed at discouraging the use of private vehicles and encouraging public transport.</p>
