<p>Former minister M B Patil said on Tuesday that North Karnataka required more development and that he would not allow “injustice” to be meted out to the region.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Patil, who had demanded that he be made the deputy chief minister as it would ensure proper representation of North Karnataka in the Congress-JD(S) coalition, dismissed the demand for separate statehood to North Karnataka.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“North and South Karnataka are like one's two eyes. But everybody agrees with the sentiment that North Karnataka needs more development,” he told reporters.</p>
