<p>A bison surprised the villagers of Lokavalli in Hale Mudigere Gram Panchayat limits by making an abrupt entry during the early morning on Wednesday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The bison, which was initially spotted at Kalleshwara Coffee Estate on Wednesday at 6.30 am, started lurking around the village.</p>.<p class="bodytext">When the stray dogs started barking at the bison, in an attempt to frighten it, the bison terrified the canines by chasing them.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As people started gathering, the bison made its way to Tatkola forest through areca plantations.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Bison have been spoiling paddy seedlings at Lokavalli, Bidarahalli and Bharigadde areas. Therefore, the Forest Department should take up measures to prevent bison menace, said, villagers.</p>
