<p class="bodytext">MP Shobha Karandlaje said that the Lok Sabha poll results will have an impact on the ULB polls.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The BJP will have an upper hand in the election being held for 100 ULBs in the state,” she declared.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters on Sunday, she said, “Normally, the ruling party in the state wins the ULB polls. In Karnataka, however, the voters are in favour of the BJP. In spite of the Congress – JD(S) contesting the election together, the BJP won 25 seats in the Lok Sabha polls.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Opposition parties, instead of seeking vote on the grounds of development, were engaged in levelling allegations against Modi and Yeddyurappa during the Lok Sabha election campaign, said the MP.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The Congress MLA T D Raje Gowda representing the constituency has not contributed anything for the development of the constituency,” she added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">She accused the state government of engaging in transfers. “The Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency in the last five years has seen several deputy commissioners, Superintendent of Police and Tahsildars,” she pointed out.</p>
