<p>Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will tour Kodagu district today and will launch a host of development works. </p>.<p class="bodytext">He will arrive from Bengaluru at 4.15 pm. Later, he will lay the foundation for development works at Basavanahalli.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He will also hand over houses for Diddalli evacuees at Byadagotta and Basavanahalli.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Out of 528 houses, 300 are ready for handing over to the Diddalli evacuees. The work on 164 houses is in progress and the work on 64 houses is yet to commence.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Fearing the impending implementation of the code of conduct for Lok Sabha polls, houses are being handed over to the Diddalli evacuees on Thursday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Other works to be flagged off are foundation for construction of two classrooms for Government Model School at Bettageri (Rs 16.40 lakh), construction of a classroom for Government Higher Primary School at Kolagadalu (Rs 8.20 lakh), construction of four classrooms at Government Lower Primary School at Jodupala (Rs 32 lakh), construction of two classrooms at Government Higher Primary School, Hodavada (Rs 14.50 lakh) and construction of three classrooms at Government Higher Primary School, at Bettathooru (Rs 24.60 lakh). </p>.<p class="bodytext">The chief minister will also flag off works on the development of rural roads under Kodagu Special Package at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore and work on “Shaala Samparka Sethu” (footbridges) at an estimated cost of Rs 25.48 crore. </p>.<p class="bodytext">He will also lay the foundation for the development of Raja Seat at an estimated cost of Rs 4.55 crore and development of parking facility on the banks of river Cauvery at Dubare at an estimated cost of Rs 1.2 crore. </p>.<p class="bodytext">In addition, he will inaugurate doctors quarters at Government Hospital in Somwarpet, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore.</p>
