<p class="title">Codava National Council (CNC) paid tributes to the departed souls, in front of Nalkunadu palace near Kakkabbe on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Offering 'Meedi', CNC chairman N U Nachappa said that the people were killed as a part of a conspiracy by the erstwhile Kodava King.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"It is said that there is a curse on Kodavas. The reason is not remembering the departed souls who were killed by the Kodava King. In fact, these rulers were also the reason for Tipu's attack on Kodavas," he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">CNC members Apparanda Srinivas, Areyada Girish, Apparanda Prakash, Poovanna, Prasad, Viju, Timmaiah and Areyada Savan were present.</p>
